Question: Do pilots have the authority to fly faster if their plane departed late to make up the lost time?
Background: - How many times you thought that they flew the plane real fast to make up the flight delay. Turns out that commercial airlines normally fly really close to their maximum speed. There is a little or no incentive flying at max speed if at all pilot wants it.
